Hello Summer!

These are some pictures of some of the things we did at the beginning of summer. It was a real adjustment-having the girls home all day and creating a new schedule. I prepared myself by making a list of activities that would be fun to do in summertime and tried to have a fun time together. I didn't take a picture of everything but here are some of the things.

we made salt and glue pictures. the salt makes the food coloring spread across the glue drawings and it's cool to watch it go. They aren't very stable pictures after they dry but it's mostly fun just to create.

Water time in the backyard, of course.

We went to Gramma's house and enjoyed running around in her yard and playing with all her toys.

We went to Lavendar Days in Mona this year. Hyrum had mentioned wanting to go there before but we decided this year to just do it. We got there later, about half-way in the day and it was hot standing in line at things and there was a lot more to do than we expected so the next time we go we'll get there in the morning. They had half a dozen bouncy houses and face painting, etc. But they also had a fairy and knight tea party that there was a always a crowd of small people trying to get in to. It looked like fun since everyone dressed up for the event. They also had these huge bubble balls in pools of water. We had to wait a while but they had fun doing it. I didn't get a good picture of Ella but she did it too.

We went to the zoo and saw the new Safari Exhibit. We took some rides on the merry-go-round.

And all the fun at the zoo ends in tired kids. Or should I say "pooped?"

Looks like you got a lot done! Are those the girls' pink teddy bears in the last picture?! If they are, I cannot believe they are still alive! Great pictures of such cute kids!
