Halloween

We went trick-or-treating at Hyrum's work, inside the clinic. It's warm and fun for the kids.

This is Ashton, enjoying the trick-or-treating.

I love this little cow!

Meooow!

I only put this duck costume on Ashton because both the girls wore it when they were his age.

Ashton's 1st Halloween.

On Halloween night we went to the Orem mall for trick-or-treating. We had never gone to a mall before for that and it was okay. It was a little crazy with people doing what we were and we were there an hour after it started so a few stores had already run out of candy but it wasn't really about the candy anyways for my girls. They are still young and unpicky. It's more about getting dressed up and going out. Anyway, after the mall we knocked on a couple of neighbors' doors.

Enjoying Fall

We went to the Temple for Family Night the last Monday in September. It was nice outside but getting cooler and it was fun to enjoy the weather while we could. Everything was going great till Livvy fell in the fountain. Hyrum was up with her & Ashton (who was sleeping in the stroller). I was on the steps below with Ella when I heard someone say "someone fell in the fountain" and I looked up, couldn't see Livvy and then saw her head bob up for air. It must have been terrifying for her. I was frustrated she didn't listen to Hyrum or I warning her about falling but I think she learned that well enough. If we ask her now if she wants to go to the temple she says "no" when she otherwise would say "yes."

We went to the Farm Country since we had pony rides the girls didn't use from August & it was a good time to go. I'm already missing the warmer weather.

We went to the Aquarium in Sandy. There was almost no one else there. It was so weird. We got annual passes again and it will be nice to have an indoor place to go this Winter.

We decided to go to the "Pumpkin Patch" for FHE a few weeks ago. We intended to do just that but it was sprinkling off and on and when we got to the nursery and saw all the pumpkins the girls assumed that that was it and we had fun picking a few out and riding in the wagon along the way.

The Proposal and Gratitude

My niece is officially engaged- again! It's a little complicated but now Melissa is really getting married and they have a date. The 18th-of this month! Yeah it's crazy and if I were her mother I woud be going crazy! Kurt planned the surprise (2nd) proposal for Wed. morning, the day before Thanksgiving, while Missy would be down from school. He got a shuttle down from Idaho and Missy's dad (my brother) picked hm up and got him a place to sleep overnight and then he went over to wake her up and surprise her. Many of us knew it was going to happen. He had made an appointment with the Salt Lake Temple weeks ago. He told her parents a week earlier so they could start making some finals plans. My sister-in-law has been going frantic ever since. This is the picture of him asking. She kept asking, "Are you really in my house?" She wanted to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

The surprise was perfect for her and she's so excited! I've never seen her so happy. Here's the happy couple the next day, on Thanksgiving. Everything is going so fast now. She had her bridals done Saturday, they've picked up her dress and invitations have been printed. And much more...Weew. We watched the video of the proposal and the whole time Hyrum was thinking about my brother letting go of his oldest daughter and that he, himself will have to do that someday. It was kindof freaking him out.

This shot needed to be zoomed in a little more or bigger on the page but I'll tell you: it's my oldest brother, Damon's family. They live pretty close and they are my closest normal relatives. I'm their youngest (and coolest :) aunt.

Chellers is holding on to Livvy for us.
What am I grateful for? This year, in particular I am grateful for the new cute addition to our family-Ella. I'm gratful she made it to us and is healthy. I am also grateful Hyrum is almost done with school. 2 1/2 weeks to go!

Fun in Fall

I'm blogging some of the fun things we've done in Fall so far. I LOOOVVVVEEE FALL!!! Just thought I'd say that. I already blogged about Halloween but I didn't take pictures of us paining a pumpkin. Hyrum started off on his own and then let Olivia help- well, it ended up just being Olivia's masterpiece.

Here is a picture my mom took of Livvy on my porch. Her pumpkin is next to her.

It has been so nice outside that we've had to get out and take advantage of it. This picture was on a windy day but most days have been so nice and sunny. Yeah!

I took this on Ella's 2-month birthday.

She is staying so little- it's kindof fun. She loves to be cuddled and bunched
up in your arms. So different than Livvy was.

We were at Costco with all their Christmas toys and Livvy LOVED the horses! She liked the smaller one that rocked more than the big one that "neighed".

We were raking leaves in my mom's backyard and Livvy thought she'd help out.
She actually did help a little but mostly jumped in the leaves. Can you blame her?

We went to the Farm Country at Thanksgiving point yesterday and it was so much fun. The weather was so nice and sunny. It was a good day to go. Livvy loved the animals. Every single one. The chickens were just as cool as the sheep to her. It's hard to see the animals in the photos so I mostly used the video camera.

The favorite part of it all- Riding the Pony, of course! She was so natural at it.
She wasn't stiff like other kids but let her body move with the motion of the pony.

This was at the "Jail" there.

"Let me out!"

She's feeding the ducks from far away since the geese were overwhelming there.

This was earlier today, at church. I just thought she looked so cute.

Halloween Festivities

Halloween this year was so much fun! I couldn't decide what to have Livvy dress up as so she was 3 different things. Well, I wanted her to be Dora but didn't want to find a costume for it so I just put one together but because it was cold and Dora's outfit is with shorts, I preferred to have her wear other things for outside activities. Olivia dressed up as Dora on Wednesday night, for Hyrum's work party. They decorate the clinic that he works at and let the kids "trick-or-treat" inside. It was too much for Livvy and she started to cry so I held her most of the time. I didn't expect that at all but she's sensitive.

This is after we came back from Hyrum's work party. We had already taken off her backpack.
Our ward had a party on Friday, the 30th. There were some cool costumes. I took a picture of this cute little guy who was the Cowardly Lion. His parents were Dorothy & the Scarecrow. The ward had a chili contest. There were something like 16 crockpots of different recipes of chili and people voted for the best one. It was yummy.

Here is Livvy as a Flower.

I dressed up as a kitty-cat and Ella was a Duck.

Our cute lil' ducky.

Hyrum was Charlie Chaplin.

Halloween night we went we went to my mom's house in Orem and "trick-or-treated" around her block. Livvy loved it. She thought it was so fun to go to houses and get candy. We didn't go to many, just a few. I left my "pumpkin" Ella with my mom at her house.

Olivia was a kitty on Halloween.

Halloween

Halloween is definately more fun with a kid. We celebrated Halloween a few different days so I got to dress Livvy up a few times. She was a butterfly for Hyrum's work party. Thurs. night I went with a friend and her son, to a carnival-type thing, then Friday I just put her in her pink kitty outfit. She wasn't feeling good so we didn't go trick-or-treating. Plus, the candy would've just gone to ME anyways!

I thought I would be a flower, since I was holding the butterfly anyways. I'm sure you've already figured out Hyrum's costume. He had a movie theme at work so he thought he's go back to the clasics.
